Factory London is the online ordering service for the Embedism workshop at Orphans Yard, Brixton Station Road, in South London. Every part is made on our own 3D printers, laser cutter, CNC router and lathe, by the same mechanical engineers designing parts at Embedism.
We're set up for small batches: one-off prototypes, jigs and fixtures, enclosure panels and short production runs that are too small for a large factory. More about us.
Frequently asked questions
Where are Factory London parts made?
In our own workshop in a railway arch at Orphans Yard, Brixton Station Road, London SW9 8QB. Factory London is run by Embedism Limited, and we don't pass your job on to third-party manufacturers.
What file formats can I upload?
3D printing: STL, 3MF, STEP, STP. Laser cutting: DXF, SVG, STEP, STP. CNC machining: STEP, STP, STL, DXF. Lathe turning: STEP, STP, PDF. Files can be up to 100 MB each.
How quickly will my parts be made?
3D printing and laser cutting usually take 2 to 5 working days once you've ordered. CNC machining and lathe turning usually take 3 to 7 working days, after we've confirmed the price within one business day.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we deliver within the UK, or you can collect from our workshop in Brixton free of charge. We don't currently deliver outside the UK.
Do your prices include VAT?
Yes. All prices shown on Factory London include VAT, and you get a VAT invoice with your order.
Can you make a custom front panel for my electronics enclosure?
Yes. The front panel designer lets you lay out a laser cut aluminium or steel panel for a Hammond 1455, Eurorack or 19 inch rack enclosure, or your own outline, with optional powder coat and engraving.
